The Stanley plough / plow plane number 13-030 is one of three Stanley plough
/ combination plane designs of the time. The other designs being the
Stanley 13-052
and the
Stanley 13-050.
The Stanley 13-030 plough plane has an extruded aluminium body, an extruded
aluminium
fence,
a moulded plastic composite handle,
2x plane arms,
a depth stop / depth guide
and is supplied with three plough / plow cutters as standard in sizes:
Additional plough / plow cutters were available to buy to extend the
range of cutters for this plane.
The plane allows cuts to 16mm (5/8 inch) deep with the ability to make
cuts up to 100mm (4 inches) from the edge of the work piece.
The Stanley 13-030 plough plane was presented in a yellow and black
Stanley cardboard box with an image of the plane on the top of the box.
This plane was advertised as a 'Combination Plane 3 Blade Plough',
though technically it is a plough plane.
