The Stanley veneer scraper number 12 is a 5 3/4 inch long scraper plane
primarily intended for veneer working.
The sturdy scraper plane body is made from cast iron with a winged
Rosewood handle which extends beyond both sides to form two handle
grips. This handle gives good balance and control when in use.
The body is finished with a black japanning.
The Stanley 12 scraper tool holds blades up to 3 inch wide. The blades are
secured in place with the use of the knurled brass nut on the lever cap.
The blade can be set at a range of angles.
The angle at which the blade is set can be adjusted to the desired angle
by turning the brass nut at the rear of the scraper plane body.
The Stanley 12 scraper plane can also work well as a toothing plane.
