The Sedgley smoothing plane number S4 is an England made
smoothing plane with a dark green finish and rosewood rear handle and
front knob.
The dark green finish makes this plane very similar to the
Edward Preston Plane No. 14.
An example of an original box for this plane was red with a label saying
'Sedgley, Guaranteed British Made, Tools Made In England' and
'9" Long, 2" Cutter, Adjustable, No. S4'.
