Review By: I.Ball
Category: Old Drills
Manufacturer: Horace E Britton
Tool Type: Mult Tool / Compendium
Model No:
This Horace Britton multi tool compendium has a bulbous shaped
hardwood handle with a brass segmented ferrule.
This Britton multi tool compendium had 12 bits with a variety of profiles
for a range of functions.
The brass ferrule has 12 holes to slot and store the 12 bits neatly
and safely inside the handle.
The tool has a steel collar which keeps the drill bits inside safe,
as well as securing the chosen drill bit in place.
The outer steel shell is marked 'Horrace E Britton, Stoughton, Mass,
USA' and 'Patent Improved Nov 28 1893'.
The handle was marked 'Pat'd Nov 28 1893'.
The Horace Britton multi tool is very similar in design to the
Stanley Rule & Level multi tool

"Just stumbled across your website and an absolute treasure trove of information.
I was recently given an old Stanley 110 block plane and wanted to know more about it.
Your website told me everything I needed to know.
But there is so much more to read. I forsee me spending a lot of time just reading
page after page. I can appreciate how much time this will have taken to put together.
I just wanted to let you know that your hard work is appreciated."
