The Tyzack number 154 hand saw is fitted with a bright lacquered Beech handle.

The handle is secured to the blade with four brass buttons. The brass buttons have flathead screwdriver slots on the reverse side to allow the user to tighten or loosen the buttons if required.

One of the buttons has a thick black border circling it with the words 'W.Tyzack. Sons & Turner Ltd, Sheffield'

The blade is marked in large writing 'NONPARIEL' which means having no match or equal. The saw also is marked with the Tyzack Elephant symbol.

The Tyzack saw number 154 was made in Sheffield, England.
