Model No: 12
The Stanley square number 12 is a try square with an iron stock

into 1/32" increments.
There are versions of this square with different measurements / increments including metric measurements. These squares were custom made for individual users.
The Stanley number 12 square is marked 'made in USA' on one side of the stock and 'Stanley' on the other side of the stock.
The stock is finished in the Stanley black finish.
The stock has a circular hole running through it towards the bottom
end which can be used for hanging the tool by a hook in the workshop.
The Stanley try square no. 12 was made in a variety of sizes including: 2", 4", 6", 8", 10" and 12".
There is a similar version of the number 12 square which had an aluminium stock and originally had a rust resistant blued blade. The similar square was the Stanley square no. 312.
