Category: Old Sliding Bevels
Tool Type: Sliding Bevel
Model No: 25
The Stanley sliding bevel number 25 is made with a Rosewood stock, a
blued steel blade and brass fittings.
The Rosewood stock is shaped with a finger / thumb grip grooves on either face, offering the user extra grip and giving the tool a more elaborate design over many other similar makes.
The top and bottom of the stock is fitted with solid brass plates giving the tool a good quality look.

The blade which swivels to any required angle was hardened, tempered,
ground and blued.
The Stanley 25 sliding bevel was made in three sizes in the early years:
- 7 1/2 inch
- 9 inch
- 10 1/2 inch
With 5 sizes being produced by the 1930's, all of which were of a completely different size to the earlier versions:
- 6 inch
- 8 inch
- 10 inch
- 12 inch
- 14 inch
