The Stanley block plane number 100 1/2 is a miniature curved bottom squirrel tailed plane made in USA by Stanley.

The 100 1/2 is 12cm long with an in-built short finger pad front knob and a curved metal handle at the rear of the plane; this handle is likened to an animal's tail so this type of plane is often called a tailed plane or more specifically a squirrel plane.
