The Record 076 plane is a small 4 inch long bull-nose plane from the Record tools range.

The 076 plane has a one-piece cast iron body construction with a blue japanned top and lever cap. The sides and sole are machined flat and true with a polished finish.

The front of the plane has a curved nose with a window to the cutting area.

The plane has a 29mm (1 1/8 inch) wide shouldered cutter which sits on a low angle bed. The plane blade is positioned with the bevel-side of the blade facing upwards.

The blade is adjusted by loosening the lever cap and adjusting the blade by hand (there is no fine adjustment mechanism). The lever cap is secured by turning the knurled wheel nut underneath the top portion of the lever cap.

The Record 076 bull-nose plane can be used to reach close into corners including being used left or right handed. The plane can be laid perfectly flat and used on either of its sides to trim rebates.
