Manufacturer: Ashley Iles Tools
Tool Type: Registered Chisel
This Ashley Iles Registered Mortice Chisel review covers the Registered Chisel
made by Ashley Iles, England.
The Ashley Iles Registered Chisel is a traditional chisel also known
as an Ashley Iles Mortice Chisel.
This chisel is designed for more heavy duty tasks such as chopping mortices.
The Ashley Iles Chisel is available in sizes ranging from 1/4" (6mm) - 2" (51mm).
The length of these blades are approximately 130mm approx.
The chisel is finished with a double-hooped Ash handle. The extra hoop on the striking
end of the handle is in place to help prevent the end of the handle splitting out
from potential increased workload.
The chisel also has a leather washer sat between the handle and blade to help absorb
the shock.
