This old Moses Eadon hand saw was fitted with a cast steel blade
and a substantial decorative shaped hardwood Beech handle.
The wooden handle is fitted to the saw blade with the use of four brass splitnut buttons, one of which is faced with a medallion marked "Moses Eadon, Sheffield" along with a Beaver chewing a branch.
Usually with hand saws the grain runs across the handle in line with the blade, the grain on this handle runs at a diagonal to the blade.
This old Moses Eadon saw was made in Sheffield, England.
