Review By: I.Ball
Category: Old Marking Gauges
Tool Type: Marking Gauge
Model No: M2050
***** There appears to have been different designs under the same model number
- in the 1976-1977 Record Ridgway catalogue this model is shown as beech with a plastic thumbscrew *****
The Marples mortice gauge number M-2050 is made from rosewood with two brass inlaid strips on the surface of the head and with a knurled brass securing nut for locking the head in the desired position.
The head on one side has a Marples logo with the name 'Marples' within an oval, along with the words below the oval as 'Sheffield England, M2050'.
The marking gauge has one marking pin.
