This old London made brass-back Buck tenon saw was fitted with a shaped Beech handle. The handle has two brass buttons securing the handle and the solid brass-backed blade together.

The reverse side of the buttons have a flat-head screwdriver slot allowing the buttons to be adjusted/tightened by using a flat-head screwdriver / turnscrew.

The saw shown is 14 inches in length and has 12 teeth per inch (tpi). There were different sized versions of this saw produced.

Buck of Totenham Court Road, London, were a very well respected and fine tool maker of their time. This workmanship has stood the test of time with the quality of their tools still appreciated today.
