Category: Old Squares
Extra Info: What is a Try Square? Try Square Videos
Manufacturer: Stanley / Stanley Rule & Level
Tool Type: Square
Model No: 10
The Stanley square number 10 was first produced as a Stanley Rule &
Level square which may or may not have the model number 10 in the early
years.
This model of non adjustable Stanley try square had a thick heavy blade
with a stock stuffed with Rosewood.
The stock with the Rosewood insert within the iron shell really gives
this square a look of quality and class especially with the detail of
the finger/thumb groove depression.
The Stanley 10 square was produced in a small variety of sizes which
included: 4", 6", 8", and 10".
The Rosewood stock on the early versions of this square were marked
'Stanley Rule & Level Co, New Britain, Conn USA'.
