Category: Old Block Planes
Extra Info: What is a Block Plane? Block Plane Videos
Manufacturer: Record
Plane Type: Block
Model No: 019
The Record 019 block plane is part of the Record knuckle block plane range.
The Record 019 is almost identical to the Record 018 plane with the
main difference being the 019 is 7 inches long in contrast to the 018
being 6 inches in length. Other minor differences include the weight
and the plane markings.
Another difference between the two planes on a historical sense is the
019 had a much shorter production run of approximately 9 years in the
1930's to early 1940's. The output of this production may have further
been reduced when consideration is taken to the fact World War II started
in 1939.
To see the core details of this plane (other than plane length, weight and markings) refer to the
Record 018 plane review.
