The Rabone tailors square number 1508 is a 24 inch by 12 inch folding
square made from boxwood.
The square is marked out in numbered inches which are broken down with
further 1/8 inch incremental markings.
The Rabone 1508 has a brass hinged joint which when opened stops at
a 90 degree position.
When the square is closed there is a locking
pin at the top of the shorter arm which locates with a hole in the
long arm to help keep the square closed for storage and transportation.
The long arm is marked with the maker and model number: 'Rabone, No
1508, Made In England'.
