The Rabone rule number 1167 is a four-fold folding rule
made from boxwood with brass fittings.
These rules were made in different sizes, I have so far found two sizes:
- 24 inch
- 36 inch
The 1167 is marked out in inches with 1/8" increments on both sides
of the rule.
The rule is marked with the wording 'Boxwood, Rabone, Made
In England, No 1167'.
These rules sometimes had advertising printed on them. This particular
photographed rule had the advertising markings 'Hunter & Hyland
Ltd, Huntland Works, Ingrave St, London, SWII'.
