Manufacturer: Kunz
Plane Type: Bullnose
Model No: 75
This Kunz 75 Plane review is of the current Kunz 75 Bullnose Plane manufactured
by Kunz of Germany.
The Kunz Bullnose Rebate Plane No. 75 also referred to as the Kunz Bullnose
Rabbet Plane No. 75 is a small inexpensive plane used for planing into
tight spaces, used for small rebate/rabbet work making it ideal for
cleaning to the edge of the work and almost to the corners of your work.
The Kunz 75 Plane has the Kunz green finish with a contrasting, small
red lever cap.
The Kunz number 75 is a small two-piece bullnose rebate plane consisting
of an upper green coloured piece and a lower steel piece.
The bottom half of the lower section is exposed natural steel, the top
half of the lower section has the green Kunz paint finish.
The Kunz 75 Bullnose Plane is made from stress relieved, fine grey cast iron and
fitted with a quality tool steel blade which has been hardened to 62 Rockwell HRC.
The size of the mouth's opening can be adjusted by loosening the large screw at
the top of the plane, located just behind the top part of the blade, sliding the
top and bottom section apart/together to reach the desired mouth size and resecuring
the screw.
The blade depth is adjusted by manually setting the blade in the desired position
and then locking the blade in place by securing the lever cap.
Usually supplied in a clear plastic box.
The Kunz 75 Bullnose Plane has similarities to some of the old bullnose planes:
Edward Preston Bullnose Plane,
Stanley 75 Bullnose Plane,
Record 75 Bullnose Plane.
* Important: please refer to the 'disclaimer' at the foot of this review.
* Wearing safety clothing and eye protection is usually a good idea to help protect against injury.
- The blade(s)/cutter(s) is very sharp, take suitable precautions when using/handling/storing
the plane/cutter(s) to prevent injury.
- Failure to loosen parts when making adjustments to the plane can result in damage
to the plane such as cross-threading screw threads. Never force a part to move.
- Overtightening parts can cause damage to the plane and the plane threads.

I was recently given an old Stanley 110 block plane and wanted to know more about it.
Your website told me everything I needed to know.
But there is so much more to read. I forsee me spending a lot of time just reading
