Geo Naylor Saw Review By: I.Ball

Category: Old Hand Saws

Manufacturer: Geo Naylor & Co
Tool Type: Hand Saw
Model No:

This old Geo Naylor saw is an old English made saw, made in Sheffield, England.

We believe this unusual grand saw is a Victorian saw.

The blade was marked 'Geo Naylor & Co, Sheffield, Cast Steel'.

The blade also has an unusual addition of having ruler measurement markings along the top edge.

The handle and the blade are locked together with the use of 4 brass split-nut buttons.

The brass buttons have a special split-nut screwdriver slot on the reverse side of the handle. This allows the user to tighten or unscrew the buttons as required.

The saw shown in the photo had a 24 inch long blade with a 7 tpi (teeth per inch) blade. Other sizes of this saw were produced.
