Manufacturer: Millers Falls
Plane Type: Smoothing
Model No: 9
The Millers Falls smoothing plane number 9 was made to the most common
smoothing plane model design and as such is probably the most common
of the Millers Falls bench planes.
The Millers Falls number 9 is the Millers Falls equivalent of the
old Stanley number 4 plane.
The plane was fitted with a Rosewood (or exotic wood) rear handle and
front knob, a Millers Falls lever cap, cap iron and 2" wide blade.
The plane had a machined and ground sole and sides with a black finish
on the top side of the body.
The frog on this plane was red.
"Millers Falls" - found on the lever cap face
"Millers Falls" - found on the top face by the front knob
"No.9, Made In USA" - found on the top face in front of the rear handle
