This lovely old Blythe hand saw is fitted with an elegant shaped Beech handle and a nibbed blade.

The handle and the blade are locked together with the use of 3 brass split-nut buttons.

The brass buttons have a special split-nut screwdriver slot on the reverse side of the handle. This allows the user to tighten or unscrew the buttons as required.

The saw shown in the photo had a 22 inch long blade with a 9 tpi (teeth per inch) blade. Other sizes of this saw were produced.
